Waiting ....

Many thanks to Rita Kirkman, pastelist fabuloso, who so generously offered up the use of some her great photos as references to some of us in a pastel workshop. She goes to various fairs and themed events and shoots unique and interesting photos. I've been especially smitten with this young prairie woman and the wonderful sunlight falling across her, and I just had to paint her. She seems to be watching and waiting anxiously for someone.
